I started my real estate journey when I received my State of Utah Appraisal Education and License in 1996. My hopes as a young mother of 3 girls was to work part time in the industry, in the Salt Lake Valley. That course was changed as I found out that in a mostly full-time working, male industry, this wasn’t meant to be. I continued a different course as a graphic designer at a large printing company by the Salt Lake Airport. This worked great for our little family as my husband started his work in the afternoons to evenings and I could work from 5 am til noon each day. While designing flyers for many different companies, I was introduced to a prominent Realtor in Salt Lake that asked me to start designing her advertising flyers for her new listings. Fast forward a few months and I soon became her apprentice and assistant in her fast pace real estate business. I received my licensed and worked under her tutelage at Coldwell Banker in Fort Union in the late 90’s. She was an amazing coach and teacher, and I loved learning and helping her grow her business. As I was in the process of helping my mother relocate to the Saint George area in early 2001, I was approached by the Principal Broker of the new Coral Canyon Community to come work for them. This was life changing to relocate our family to Southern Utah back in the early days prior to Washington County’s building boom. I accepted the job and left my wonderful mentor, Beckie Meisenheimer (who went on to become Utah Realtor of the Year) and we started our new life in Washington, Utah. This was in the Spring of 2001. I worked for 10 years with SunCor Development (Pinnacle West of Phoenix Arizona) in the sales and development of the Coral Canyon community with over 2600 master planned acres. In 2003 The community was voted “Community of the Year” by the Utah Home Builders Association for the state of Utah. In 2005, I received my Brokers license and took over as the principal broker for the development. In 2010 SunCor’s shareholders decided to “regroup” and sell off its communities and golf courses throughout the western states. We were given the rights to the Coral Canyon name and with the original team of SunCor builders and agents we started “Coral Canyon Realty” and “Coral Canyon Homes”. No longer under the universal model of new home sales only, we branched out successfully as buyer and listing agents. Our emphasis has always been on new construction, and we have continued to build and sell homes in the super growth areas of Sienna Hills, Sand Hollow and now the Hurricane Valley of Washington County. When I am not working, I am enjoying my family – my three amazing daughters and their husbands and our 11 grandchildren. I am a cellist in the Southwest Symphony. I have always enjoyed all things equestrian, gardening, riding with my husband on our Harley, running, traveling, camping, and our favorite past time – LA Dodgers baseball.
